Mutation Breeding Manual

The publication of Mutation Breeding Manual was proposed on the Mutation Breeding Project which has started since 1993.

Editing had been proceeded by Dr. Florencio-I. S. Medina III of the Philippines, Dr. Etsuo Amano of Japan and Dr. Sigemitsu Tano, the former Project Leader of Japan, and this manual was completed in August, 2004.

This manual consists of "Mutation Breeding Manual", which includes general information of mutation breeding and "Practical Suggestions" which includes the methodology for treatment of crops.

"Mutation Breeding Manual" was mainly edited by Dr. Medina and "Practical Suggestions" was edited and colored photos were prepared by Dr. Amano.
Some manuscripts were contributed by some Project Leaders, and the country reports which were presented in the past Workshop were also included.

This manual is able to be downloaded from this web site and it is desired that this manual would be useful for the people who are involved in mutation breeding work.
